Reason 26: Keep an Irvine Citizens Advice Office

North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service (NACAS) plan to close 4 of its 5 offices by the end of March. That will see the Irvine Bureau closing.

At a time when the Tories are attacking the most vulnerable in society through benefit sanctions and benefit cuts local people need advice services more than ever.

Joe has opposed the closure > http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/citizens-advice-office-closure-could-7532122

And has set up a petition to campaign to save it > https://www.change.org/p/north-ayrshire-citizens-advice-save-irvine-citizens-advice-bureau

He also revealed that for over a third of NACAS clients their local office is the Irvine one > http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/citizens-advice-closure-over-third-7574381

He will continue to work to ensure that local people have a readily available advice service at the point of need.
