Red Cross House, a residential and respite care facility in Irvine that helps vulnerable people across Scotland, is to close in June 2016.
Within 48 hours of the Red Cross announcing plans to close the facility, Joe met with the charities Operations Director to discuss the matter.
Later that day he was joined by local Labour Councillor Ian Clarkson and Margaret McDougall MSP in writing to the Red Cross to oppose their plans > http://www.joecullinane.co.uk/labour_politicians_write_to_red_cross_about_the_future_of_red_cross_house
The trio have continued to campaign against the impending closure and to save the facility from closure > http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/fresh-hope-irvines-red-cross-7391937
And they continue to press North Ayrshire Council and NHS Ayrshire and Arran to secure a future for the facility.
As your MSP Joe will continue that campaign to secure a future for the facility and the 77 staff who work there.
