Joe Cullinane

Scottish Labour Councillor for Kilwinning

Reason 8: Scrap the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act

Reason_8-.png

The SNP's Offensive Behaviour at Football Act has criminalised football fans and is an attack on the civil liberties of working class men and women.

Supporting a football team is not a crime yet over the last four years football fans have been to endure being videoed by police and treated as criminals.

We do need to tackle sectarianism in Scotland but the place to do it is in our classrooms, community groups and within the football clubs themselves.

Joe has always opposed the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act and is pleased that Scottish Labour has pledged to scrap it.
